| Guys I stumbled upon a moderatly clean NA with 40k original miles last week with some engine issues. I pulled the engine this weekend and tore it down. In the process I would like to make this thing spotless under the engine bay with a little elbow grease. I'm having difficulty cutting through the grime even after several soaks with simple green and a good power washer. Anyone have any secret recipes for getting that dark buildup off? I tried a light vinyl brush with more simple green and it just does not cut it. I tried some brake parts cleaner in a hidden area and it works but I don't want to go over the whole engine bay like that. Started like this
So far....
The car was a 1-owner and literally driven by an old lady (I got this car through her estate sale) There is no question the mileage really is what it is

And before anyone can say it, wheel police! - I know :)
